Paralegal (6 Month FTC)

LOCATIONS: Remote

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Paralegal to support our Chief Legal Officer and the General Manager of Pizza Hut France in managing complex franchise-related legal matters. This role is critical following the recent strategic take-back of the France market under Yum’s direct control. The ideal candidate will have a strong grounding in French franchise law, contracts, and corporate governance, and possess excellent communication and project management skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Legal and Franchise Support:

  • Assist in managing ongoing and legacy franchisee legal issues, including disputes, negotiations, and compliance matters, and communicate with franchisees, as necessary.
  • Support the legal due diligence and documentation for franchise arrangements.
  • Draft, review, and maintain standard legal documents, including franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, NDAs, side letters, and settlement documents.
  • Monitor and manage legal compliance with local regulations related to franchising, employment, marketing and corporate governance.

Operational Legal Liaison:

  • Serve as a local legal point of contact for the General Manager, Chief Legal Officer and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with Yum’s global standards.
  • Coordinate with external French counsel for litigation, regulatory, and other matters.
  • Support the implementation of corporate policies and processes in the France market.

Administrative & Document Management:

  • Maintain organised and up-to-date records of legal documentation, correspondence, and case files.
  • Prepare summaries, briefings, and reports for the CLO and local leadership.
  • Ensure timely legal filings and support administrative processes related to entity management.
     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal qualification in France.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a legal support role, ideally with exposure to franchising, commercial contracts, or corporate law.
  • Familiarity with French franchise law and regulatory environment.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken) – essential.
  • Experience working in or with multinational companies or across jurisdictions is highly valued.
