Restaurant HR Business Partner

LOCATIONS:

COMPENSATION: $87,600 - $103,000 depending on candidate skills and experience, plus bonus depending on team and individual performance

LOCATION: Orlando, FL, working from home office

TRAVEL: 15 - 30%, the majority of time will be in the local market (in Central Florida) with periodic travel to the corporate office and restaurants in Louisville

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Lead HR for our 50 company owned restaurants (90% Florida, 10% Kentucky) to support our number one leaders, Restaurant General Managers! We cook chicken fresh, from scratch, in all 4,000 of our US restaurants to provide HR leadership where you will focus on building people capability and driving and executing key people initiatives and programs. The Restaurant HRBP partners closely with the Operations leadership team to leverage HR as a competitive business advantage and the Staffing & Training Leader to hire top talent for our restaurants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing Talent

  • Partner with Operations to drive effective internal development and succession planning processes resulting in stronger bench across all restaurants
  • Provide counsel on general Employee Relations and Performance Management issues
  • Build people capability as implementation owner of performance management process
  • Support HR processes including benefit enrollment, employee recognition programs/events and compliance policies/practices
  • Support field implementation of HR Technology (Learning Management System (LMS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Field Recruitment

  • Coach on use of talent attraction and selection tools to support the employee life cycle
  • Elevate the strategy and execution of talent attraction, selection, developing, and retaining high-potential Operations talent

Developing People

  • Partner with Operations to identify training needs and develop appropriate solutions to build individual, coach, and organization capability
  • Manage succession/bench planning at the restaurant, area, and region level

Driving Organizational Effectiveness

  • Build strong relationships with all functional partners and serve as a trusted advisor to drive key business and HR initiatives within the region
  • Lead strategy execution to drive performance on HR measures for the Ops Scorecard (i.e. turnover, stability, retention)

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Field Staffing & Training Leader, Market Coach, Area Coaches, Restaurant Managers, Restaurant Teams Finance, Total Rewards, Loss Prevention, Legal, Benefits, and Payroll.

KNOWLEDGE + SKILL REQUIRED

  • Education/Certifications – Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in Human Resources Management or related field)
  • 5-7 years HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity in QSR or similar industry
  • Proven results in building client partnerships and leveraging processes and tools to drive work to closure
  • Attention to detail with ability to execute strategy, including corresponding tactics, on a timely basis
  • Exceptional coach and trusted advisor with strong influential leadership ability
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR policies and practices
  • Role models a customer mania mindset and creates passion in others for living our culture values
  • Excellent conflict management skills – including leading others in effectively navigating through productive conflict
  • Previous employee relations and succession planning experience preferred
