Technical PO - Loyalty & Promotions (partial remote in Chicago or Dallas)

LOCATIONS: Chicago, Plano

You will:

  • Work collaboratively with engineers and testers on your agile delivery team
  • Work directly with front-end teams building applications for domestic and international markets
  • Partner with product management to define and prioritize roadmaps
  • Elicit requirements, synthesize and document them into stories for the product backlog
  • Break requirements into iterative sprint-sized stories that optimize speed-to-value
  • Manage and refine the product backlog, assemble sprints, and perform release planning
  • Articulate business and customer value to development team and use it to guide prioritization
  • Independently understands and resolves a diverse range of complex problems where precedent may not exist
  • Demonstrates good judgment in evaluating and choosing methods to develop solutions
  • Turns complex issues into simple steps & work plans
  • Creates or significantly improves existing solutions, processes, & tools
  • Participate in the release process as the product expert to surface any issues prior to release
  • Ensure that roadmaps and the product backlog are visible, transparent, and clear
  • May lead project steps within a broad/large project
  • Leverage frequent internal and external relationships to achieve results

You have:

  • A BS/BA degree, CS, CIS, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience as a PO or combination of software engineering & PO experience
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Agile product owner experience in a SaaS or PaaS environment
  • Working knowledge of REST API design and usage
  • Hands on experience producing and/or consuming REST API’s
  • Previous experience with Loyalty integrations, promotions and or discounts
  • The ability to run meetings and drive agenda
  • Effective influencing skills
  • Experience engaging in product discovery, planning, and driving technical product value
  • Prior software development / coding experience required
