Technical Product Owner, Calendar Testing

LOCATIONS: Plano , Remote

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, pizza-loving Product Owner to lead delivery of Pizza Hut’s Testing Calendar.  As a Product Owner at Pizza Hut, you are the ultimate owner of the calendar experience – partnering closely with design, engineering, brand, and food innovation to bring customer-centric digital experiences to life. 

In this role you will lead the digital delivery of the Pizza Hut testing pipeline including new product tests and deal innovation testing.  You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to scope, plan, document, build, test, and deliver all Pizza Hut testing initiatives with an eye towards continually delivering excellent user experiences. You will partner closely with design and engineering to bring the testing calendar to life across our Web and App platforms. 

We are looking for someone who is proficient in cross-functional collaboration, able to make sound technical decisions, and has experience defining clear project scope. You will manage the day-to-day tasks for the development team and coordinate projects with the Sr. Product Manager.  You will ensure that projects are estimated accurately and delivered on time and on target. You will coordinate meetings and run Agile ceremonies.  A commitment to collaborative problem solving, project management, and quality product delivery is paramount. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategy & Planning

  • Execute on the strategic vision established by the Senior Product Manager.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned product(s), ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manage sprint iterations, track progress, and drive team predictability through effective work management and communication.
  • Provide clear and consistent updates on project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Oversee backlog prioritization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery of value.
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of calendaring and testing processes, tools, and playbooks to ensure operational efficiency and consistency across channels and markets.

Delivery & Execution

  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria that maximize speed-to-value.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans; actively manage risk and ensure timely communication of dependencies and issues to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Own day-to-day decision-making around scope, priorities, trade-offs, and acceptance criteria to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, planning sessions, demos, retrospectives) and foster a collaborative, transparent, and high-performing team environment.
  • Actively engage with customers and end users to deeply understand their needs, translating insights into meaningful product enhancement.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 4-6 years’ experience as a Product Owner, strong preference to a technical background
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Analytical mindset and experience turning insights into action
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (epics, features, stories, etc.), modern software development practices (test driven development), and tools (Jira, Confluence)

Salary Range: $114,900 to $144,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
