About the Job:

The Data Engineer I will be tasked with designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows within a cloud-based environment. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create scalable solutions, and ensure seamless data integration and transformation. The ideal candidate will utilize AWS for storage, computation, and deployment, alongside IICS for robust data integration and Fabric for real-time analytics, driving Taco Bell's ability to derive actionable insights efficiently. Emphasizing automation, reliability, and maintaining high data quality is central to the responsibilities of this position. Through continuous learning and improvement, the Data Engineer I will contribute to enhancing current systems and fostering innovation.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Design and implement data pipelines: Build and maintain scalable, efficient pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing data using AWS services like S3, Lambda, and Glue.
  • Integrate and automate workflows: Leverage IICS to create seamless data integration workflows, ensuring automation and reliable data movement across systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Optimize and monitor data performance: Use Fabric to analyze real-time data flows, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements for faster, more efficient processing.
  • Ensure data quality and governance: Perform regular audits and validations to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
  • Continuous learning and documentation: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AWS, IICS, and Fabric technologies, while maintaining thorough documentation of data processes and workflows.

Is This You?

  • At least 1year of experience in Data Engineering role or demonstrable equivalent practical project experience.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue), Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and Fabric.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, SQL, or Java.
  • Data Integration and Transformation: Understanding of ETL processes and experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting data workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify data-related issues and create effective solutions.

Salary Range: ­­$87,000 to $102,000 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
