Assoc. Manager, Payment Optimization

The Payment Optimization Team Associate Manager is responsible for delivering the electronic payment processing needs of Yum!’s restaurants in partnership with brand technology teams. This includes supporting customized solutions that integrate seamlessly with point-of-sale systems, ensuring frictionless transactions, and providing ongoing relationship support to optimize payment acceptance across various channels like credit cards, debit cards, mobile wallets, and online payments while staying current with industry regulations and technologies.

Salary Range: $­­97,000 to $115,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Responsibilities:

• Brand-Vendor Payment Liaison: Assess electronic payment needs, accelerate the rollout of new payment channels (e.g. Venmo, PayPal, etc.), and support tailored payment solutions that align with Yum!’s business goals. Be an advocate and relationship manager for all Yum!’s brands with third parties (Fiserv, Visa, MasterCard, etc.) to stay on the leading edge of new technologies & product offerings and to expedite invoice/other dispute resolutions. Ensure Yum!’s brands remain connected regarding new payment initiatives (i.e. cross-brand opportunities).
• Payment Compliance & Analysis: Ensure adherence to all relevant payment processing regulations, including PCI DSS standards. Work with payment channels (e.g. Visa, MC) to obtain key performance metrics, industry trends, and competitor offerings and then help summarize them for our restaurant leadership teams. 
• Cash Team Operations Backup: Operate as a fully trained backup (ad hoc basis only) on critical domestic and international cash operations; including cash positions, intercompany loan management, forex transactions, and wire transfers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
• 5+ years of corporate treasury, corporate finance or banking experience
• Exceptional Excel, HFM and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong / proven interpersonal and relationship skills

Preferred Requirements:

• CFA or MBA
• Experience managing corporate retail payment solutions
• Practical experience in the restaurant industry
• Familiarity with Yum accounting policies/procedures
• Demonstrated world class finance conceptual skill, thought leadership and business judgment
